nChannel features and functions
While your existing systems may already provide you with some of this functionality, nChannel can help you get the data you need to flow into or out of each of your POS, eCommerce, Accounting or ERP systems.
Administrative Features
Alerts
Alerts and audits keep track of every detail of whats happening with your connections and data. Set up alerts to tell you whenever a large sale have been made, or when your low on inventory.
Remote Location Management
Connect or restart connections right from your nChannel portal. Implement all your stores or sites right from your desktop. As long as you have administrative access to your systems, you can connect them to nChannel
Workflow Management
Tell nChannel how to handle orders, items, or customers based on workflow that is specific to you.
Manage Customizations
Each connector comes with a standard XSLT map – that looks a lot like a CSS Style Sheet. If you have html knowledge you can edit this map to match any customizations you’ve made to your applications, like new fields. nChannel or an nChannel reseller can assist if you need help.
Reporting
Select, sort and filter sales, customer, item and inventory data. Set up reports to access the data you need to see such as “See all sales over $300″, “Show me customers that purchased X product in the state of California”…
Intelligence
Save your reports and have them automatically update and graphically display information you need to keep tabs on your business.
Workflows
Create and Assign Roles for Users – Roles determine what areas of nChannel a user will have access to. With the role of administrator, you have access to everything – but you may not want every user to be an administrator. You determine every users role and can add as many users to your nChannel portal free of charge.
Define Roles and Assign Users
Define roles for your each of your users which determine level of access to each area within the nChannel platform. You can set rules such as edit, read-only, access, etc.
Aggregated Customer Data
View customers by source (web site, east side store, etc.) with the ability to edit, delete or add attributes such as Birthday or anniversary. Additionally you can view all open orders associated with each customer, as well as historical sales and returns. You can also filter customers by source, or creation date to help you pinpoint different groups of customers for marketing or sales analysis.
Aggregated Orders
View all open orders from your web site or sites, and orders from each of your stores in one place. nChannel defines an Order as a transactions that needs to be fulfilled whether by you, another store location, or a supplier. All web sales for example are Orders, because you can’t capture the sales until the order has been shipped.
Quotes
If you receive quote requests from customers on the web, or in your stores, you can manage the workflow using nChannel. No more missed emails, or black holes.
Aggregated Sales
View all sales transactions from all your stores in one location regardless of where you are. If you have an internet connection, you have access.
Shipments
Lists all the orders that have shipped from your locations or web sites.
Inventory
Item Data
nChannel pulls your item data from POS, Accounting, or ERP and organizes it by store if your POS system doesn’t share multi-store data. Additionally, if you have a web store, you can sync items in it with items that come to nChannel through your POS or ERP system. You’ll have one place to manage item data including images, unique attributes, and be able to determine what information is displayed on the web, vs what information is displayed in the store.
Image Management
Using nChannel’s unique image gallery, you can upload all your images once and easily attribute them to one or more items. You can choose dimensions for your images too to accommodate thumbnails, alternate views, and full size views.
Pricing and Promotions
You will still master your items in your POS or ERP system, however you may want to apply different pricing or promotions for items purchased over the web. nChannel provides you with one place to go manage items from one screen in one application simplifying and speeding up the process.
Inventory Transfers
Throughout the day you may accumulate transfer requests from many different store locations. nChannel will aggregate all the requests into one place for complete visibility.
Physical Inventory
Using a tablet or your mobile phone, take physical inventory at any location and automatically update inventory records.
Receivers
Lists all your receiver documents so you can easily see partial or full receiver documents for inventory received.
Invite Suppliers
Invite your suppliers to post their item catalog to your nChannel portal at no additional cost. You’ll be able to see and use your supplier’s item data and images. Select the items you want to carry and then choose if you want them to appear online or in your store (or both). You’ll have the ability to edit or create and manage descriptions, pricing, and customize item attributes.
Notifications
Collects new and stores historical notifications from suppliers such as acknowledgments, shipping notices and invoices.
