New board member to help lead nChannel to meet growth objectives
COLUMBUS, Ohio – nChannel, a Columbus, Ohio-based cloud-based retail management platform provider for multichannel sales retailers, has named Peter Korda as an independent board member. Korda’s experience as a leader in the retail and technology industries makes him a perfect fit for the role of board member for fast-growing nChannel.
Korda’s leadership roles include positions at Intagio, Bank One, Sterling Commerce, Safelite Glass Corp, and Anderson Consulting, and most recently Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Sears. From 2012 to 2014 he was Vice President of Sears; his portfolio included delivery, installation, franchised businesses, new service development, Sears’ Parts operations, and Sears’ Engineering Services and totaled $1 billion per year in revenue. He was responsible for leading 2,000 associates, 6,000 contractors, 350 franchisees, 110 warehouses, and seven distribution centers. His time at Scotts was similar in prestige and success, helping to develop Scotts Lawn Service into the strong market presence it is today.
In addition to his experience leading successful companies, Korda is also very engaged in the community and has served on many boards. Notable appointments include Board of Directors of the Buckeye Ranch Foundation, Board of Advisors of the Institute for Managing Services at the Fisher College of Business, the Development Committee of The Columbus Academy, and the Board of Trustees of the Scotts Miracle-Gro PAC.
His addition to the nChannel board comes at an important time in the organization’s development. The company had a record-setting year with a 230 percent growth in revenue from 2013 to 2014, and has similarly aggressive revenue goals for the next three years. Korda’s insight and leadership will be crucial as nChannel continues to grow and flourish into a powerhouse in the retail integration industry.
“Peter brings to nChannel’s board a rare mix of operational and strategic management expertise,” said Steve Weber, President and CEO of nChannel. “In addition, his experience on both sides of investment transactions will be invaluable as he assists us in meeting both our fundraising and growth objectives.”
